Tina Dealwis is an award-winning strategic communicator, with years of experience spanning communications, journalism, editing, publishing, and copy and content writing in both public and private sectors.
Tina is currently part of an award-winning communications team at Peel Region, where she has led and executed impactful campaigns that raise awareness and drive results. At York University, she was the voice behind the student virtual assistant, SAVY, which won two innovation prizes, and was also shortlisted for two ContentEd honours. She also contributed to executive communications in York’s Office of the President, and previously worked at Sheridan College and the University of Guelph-Humber.
Throughout her career, Tina has told stories that inspire, engage, and enhance reputations. She was a contributing author to two children’s books about disability sports – Glowing Hearts: From Play to Podium, and Glowing Hearts: Skates and Skis for All Abilities. She has also written for publications such as AMOI Magazine, Active Living Magazine, Play 2 Podium Magazine, Profiles of Success, and ghostwritten for executives.
Tina holds a Master of Arts degree in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University, and a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
