Member Spotlight: Joy Dibia

Joy Dibia is a communications and strategy specialist with more than eight years of experience working alongside the executive team of one of the largest banking brands in West Africa. Joy joined IABC shortly after relocating to a new country – a feat she describes as scary, but doing it afraid is part of growth. Since joining IABC, Joy says she has found joy networking with like minds and learning about Canada’s marketing & communications landscape.

She is currently the Lead communication liaison with Global People (HR) at NTT DATA Services and supports general enterprise Internal Communications as a Communications Specialist Advisor. Joy has a Master’s degree in Marketing Communications from the Pan-Atlantic University Lagos Nigeria, and has written numerous executive speeches, interviews, and thought leadership pieces which have been featured on various international platforms, including CNN, CNBC, the World Bank, and four Ivy-league Universities.

Besides writing, Joy is passionate about advocating for the employee experience and improving diversity, equity and inclusion through creative and exciting programs.

Outside the office, Joy loves to plan family events, sit back, watch a good movie, and hope she can be courageous enough to skydive someday.
