The Student Communicators Circle

As part of IABC/Toronto’s continued dedication to providing top tier membership support, we have launched the Student Communicators Circle (SCC) to provide current students and recent graduates the opportunity to make the most out of their IABC memberships through networking, leadership and educational opportunities.

This initiative is timely as the global pandemic has significantly impacted the ability of our student members to secure employment and internships post-graduation. IABC/Toronto is committed to supporting students through this difficult period.

We will be hosting four events for student members over the next few months:

  • Sessions 1 & 2 (Oct. 27, 2020 and Jan. 26, 2021): Focus group discussions to gather student perspectives on the value of their IABC memberships, and what opportunities they feel would help further their careers during this time.
  • Session 3 (Mar. 23, 2021): An award-writing workshop with Alice Namu, Vice-President of Programs, about how best to apply for the IABC/Toronto Student of the Year Award.
  • Session 4 (June 22): A community-building celebration and dedication to the graduating class of 2021.
