The Senior Communicators Circle

IABC/Toronto launched the Senior Communicators Circle in January 2020 to cater to the Chapter’s vibrant population of seasoned communicators. The Senior Communicators Circle is an informal networking and peer mentoring event that brings the most experienced IABC/Toronto communicators together to meet and exchange ideas in a relaxed, friendly setting.

Each Senior Communications Circle takes place at least bi-monthly over dinner and drinks at a downtown restaurant or virtually on Zoom to abide by Covid-19 restrictions. Participation is limited to a small group of 12 – 15 guests to allow for as much interaction as possible. At each session, guests engage in robust discussion and debate on a pertinent communications topic.

Recent topics have included: “The Senior Communicator as Change Leader/Manager”; The Impact of Covid-19 from a communications perspective”; “Diversity & Inclusion: The Role of the Communicator in the wake of the #BlackLivesMatter movement.”

The Senior Communicators Circle events are free to attend and available only to IABC/Toronto members with 20+ years’ experience.

If you are interested in joining us at the next Senior Communicators Circle, please send an email to the Vice President, Special Interest Groups at toronto-sig@iabc.to.
