FAQs for Customers

  1. What is CareerLine?

CareerLine is IABC/Toronto’s specialized online job board. Our intent is to provide recruiters with greater visibility and unique access to professionals who are shaping communications, marketing and public relations in the GTA. Recruiters can post communication and marketing jobs, internships, freelance positions and RFPs (Requests for Proposals) on CareerLine through an online application process. The CareerLine job board is followed by 700+ members and 10,200 followers on X.

  1. How does CareerLine differ from other job boards?

CareerLine postings target IABC/Toronto members, who are among the top talent in their industries. Many of them are professionals with national and global experience, often with an SCMP, CMP or CM designation, and are award-winning communicators and marketers. They are well versed in industry trends and are the very people who are shaping the future. Other job boards are generic and roles are mass marketed, often inundating recruiters with applicants that don’t meet job requirements. Applications submitted through CareerLine, however, can inspire confidence and help to shorten the sourcing process for recruiters who are looking for specific, in-demand skillsets.

  1. How is the job posting promoted and to whom?

IABC/Toronto members can access the job board through a direct sign-in to the site or through email notification. In addition, IABC/Toronto issues a bi-weekly e-newsletter that highlights CareerLine opportunities, distributed to 4000+ subscribers (including  IABC/Toronto members as well as other professionals in communications and business communities across the GTA).

  1. How does CareerLine benefit our members?

Our members come from various stages of their careers – senior, intermediate, junior professionals, communication and marketing students looking to enter the profession, and seasoned pros who are now mentoring others within IABC. CareerLine, our dedicated job board, offers a more targeted approach to job search by featuring industry-specific job postings ranging from entry-level to C-Suite, from across the Greater Toronto Area. Other job boards are generic and roles are mass marketed, making it more challenging for our members to zero-in on relevant roles that meet their current and future career development needs.

  1. Who can I contact if I need more information?
