Member Spotlight: Patience Badze

Managing Partner and Strategy Director, edgeBD

For over eight years, Patience Badze has been a Managing Partner and Strategy Director at edgeBD. edgeBD is a brand development and design agency that works with organizations to help them manage their visual brand identity. Patience started her career in South Africa before immigrating to Canada in 2019. Her skills and passion are in helping organizations create and execute effective business and branding strategies. She has worked with businesses of all sizes from start-ups to global companies, across three continents – Africa, Europe and North America.

As a newcomer to Canada, Patience found IABC to be a great resource. She has met other professionals who have shared a wealth of information and made connections that have helped build her Canadian network. “Through IABC I’ve met people I never would have met otherwise. I’ve even had the opportunity to pitch and get new business for our agency,” she said.

Patience studied in South Africa and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Midrand Graduate Institute and a Post Graduate Diploma (bachelor’s equivalent) in Knowledge and Information Systems Management from Stellenbosch University.

When she’s not working, Patience enjoys discovering new places, reading a good book and bingeing on a series on Netflix.
