Member Spotlight: Krystal L. Carter

Director, Tartanbond

Krystal L. Carter, a dynamic communications consultant, has carved her path in the realms of technology, tourism, and lifestyle. With a career spanning over 15 years, she brings a wealth of expertise in strategic communications planning, corporate communications, marketing partnerships, content development, and event management.

Krystal currently serves as the director at Tartanbond, a role she seamlessly transitioned into after years of freelancing. At Tartanbond, she leads the Toronto office, overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients. Her role extends beyond management, as she takes pride in mentoring her team, and fostering growth and excellence within the organization.

Tartanbond, often described as “journalism for companies,” offers Krystal the opportunity to engage with a variety of clients, ensuring each project remains stimulating and rewarding. Noteworthy among her endeavours is her involvement with Indigenous Tourism Canada, a project close to her heart, reflecting her commitment to meaningful and impactful work.

A dedicated member of IABC/Toronto since her graduation from university in 2005, Krystal has been actively engaged in the association’s vibrant community. She fondly recalls her initial involvement and highlights the World Conference in Toronto as a particularly memorable experience. For Krystal, IABC offers invaluable professional development sessions and networking opportunities, enabling her to expand her skill set and talent pool.

Krystal leads the marketing efforts for IABC/Toronto’s OVATION Awards, scheduled for May 9, 2024
