July/August issue of The Buzz: Ahh, summer

Six smiling people, some wearing hats, gather at an outdoor event. Text reads, “The Buzz. Your source for everything indie.” The PIC and IABC/Toronto logos are on the top left and a button that says “Join PIC” is top right.

How’s your summer going? In the July/August issue of The Buzz, we look at some of the things that happened in the world of IABC/Toronto’s Professional Independent Communicators over the summer.

We have a new team steering PIC and you’ll meet them here.

Andrea Walasek is our new Chair and VP, Special Interest Groups, and you’ll find out more about her and the value she gets from IABC in the PIC Personality profile.

Arlene Amitirigala presented at the IABC World Conference in Chicago in June. Read some highlights from that session, about the value of compassion in the business world, and find tips for compassionate communication.

You’ll also read about the new certification Ali Wines has, and learn what being part of PIC has given Cyrus Mavalwala, ABC, MC. Grab one last chance to sign up for our summer social, and catch up on social media posts about the World Conference.

Want to comment on the issue, make a suggestion or ask about volunteer opportunities? Connect with any of the PIC executive (listed at the end of the issue) on LinkedIn, follow the PIC LinkedIn business page or email toronto-sig@iabc.to. We’d love to hear from you.
