PIC’s October Buzz looks at AI for indies

Against a blurry background, a grey robot with glowing eyes stretches its right arm to point a finger. Text reads, “The Buzz. Your source for everything indie.” The IABC/Toronto and PIC logos are on the top left and a “Join PIC” button top right.

During this period of reflection and gratitude that comes with Thanksgiving, PIC Chair and VP Special Interest Groups Andrea Walasek shares her thanks with PIC members in the latest issue of The Buzz newsletter. She particularly appreciates some fantastic chats over the past month, the incredible “AI for Indies” session led by Lisa Gibson and the overall camaraderie that comes from this talented group.

The October issue of The Buzz is an extension of those chats, sessions and camaraderie. The issue explores Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a recap of Lisa’s talk by new PIC member Adrienne Jackson, ABC. We delve further into AI with a follow-up 3×3 by Sue Horner, SCMP, where she discovers how PIC members are using AI for client work through conversations with Augustine Fischer, Matisse Hamel-Nelis and Cyrus Mavalwala, ABC, MC.

The issue also shares member news, featuring Alix Edmiston, ABC, and Matisse Hamel-Nelis, and a new comms book recommendation from Catharine Heddle. We invite PIC members and friends to save November 19 for our next session on partnering with other members, and make changes to your online listing.

Want to comment on the issue, make a suggestion or ask about volunteer opportunities? Connect with any of the PIC executive (listed at the end of the issue) on LinkedIn, follow the PIC LinkedIn business page or email toronto-sig@iabc.to. We’d love to hear from you.
