February is Black History Month; a month where we hear calls to action and reminders of our role in amplifying Black voices and confronting anti-Black racism.
Black history is a living, breathing testament to resilience, creativity, and the power of community. It is being written every day through the individual and community joy, achievements, struggles, and resistance of Black people.
IABC/Toronto is committed to celebrating and amplifying Black voices, not just during Black History Month, but every single day.
Blackness is diverse, beautiful, and worthy of respect and recognition through our storytelling 365 days a year. Black history isn’t confined to the past; it’s being created, documented, and inspired in real-time.
Throughout the month, we will honour and spotlight the stories of Black communities. Today and every day, we commit to visible allyship and solidarity.
Together, we can amplify voices, challenge anti-Black racism, and ensure that Black history continues to be celebrated and supported with the respect it deserves.
Black lives matter. Black history is 365 x 24 x 7
