‘Learning in motion’ in PIC’s November Buzz

Alain Legault, Jennifer Wah, Priya Bates and Cyrus Mavalwala take a selfie in front of a hotel ballroom with business people milling around round tables. Text reads: The Buzz. Your source for everything indie. The I A B C / Toronto and P I C logos are on the top left and a “Join P I C” button top right.

The GTA’s first snowfall always seems to catch me off guard, no matter how many winters I’ve seen. One day it’s crisp and sunny, and the next, the city and surrounding communities sparkle under a fresh layer of snow. It’s a reminder that change can be both surprising and energizing, and a time to reflect on the learning and growth accomplished over the fall.

We do just that in the November issue of The Buzz, the newsletter for you, IABC/Toronto’s Professional Independent Communicators.

Read what Heather Redfearn learned during our October webinar, Unlocking the Art of the Proposal. Our speakers shared great tips to make it easy for prospects to say yes.

Did you have FOMO about missing the 2025 IABC Canada Conference? No worries, we’ve got a look at some of its opportunities to learn, connect and reflect, as experienced by Arlene Amitirigala, Priya Bates, Cyrus Mavalwala and Matisse Hamel-Nelis.

In this issue, you can also:

  • Learn more about our latest PIC Personality, David McLaughlin.
  • Check out why Arlene, Matisse, Kathryn Hollinrake, Lori Henry and I are in the news; get in touch with me if you have news to share.
  • Find out the details about our in-person social on Dec. 3. Save your spot now, spaces are limited!
  • Learn a few things from posts shared on social media.
