We are thrilled to announce Madelyn Chung, founder of RepresentASIAN Project and a registered therapist as IABC/Toronto’s 27th Communicator of the Year (COTY).
Having dedicated her career to amplifying Asian North American voices across multiple platforms and industries, Madelyn is a trailblazer in advocacy, storytelling and mental health. RepresentASIAN Project is her media platform dedicated to elevating the Asian North American voice, supporting Asian representation and empowerment.
Madelyn has previously worked at HuffPost Canada, FASHION and Netflix Editorial, where she was part of the core team that launched @netflixgolden, a channel creating content specifically for the Asian diaspora. She is also the founder and Executive Director of Blossom Mental Health Fund, a registered non-profit dedicated to supporting the mental health of Asian Canadians through culturally responsive resources, programming and funding.
Through her work across media, mental health, advocacy and identity-affirming storytelling, Madelyn is committed to creating space for healing, representation and meaningful social and cultural change.
