Change has been a constant in my life, whether it’s the different countries I’ve lived in, environments I’ve learned to adapt to, styles of work I’ve experienced, or, let’s be honest, the world around us. If you know me, you’ll know that change has been quite scary, but I’ve had to learn and grow with it, trust myself and believe that change can also be exciting.
The September issue of The Buzz is your thoughtful guide to navigating changing times from the perspective of IABC/Toronto’s Professional Independent Communicators (PIC).
- Jacqui DeBique, SCMP®, reflects on how communicators must adapt to stay effective, featuring insights from a recent media relations webinar.
- We also have an insightful 3×3, penned by Brent Artemchuk. He spoke with Arlene Amitirigala, Yvonne Catty and Stephanie Thornbury, ABC, CPP, who recently moved from outside an organization as an independent to working full-time on the inside.
Another change for PIC is that we welcome two new members, Samira Chowdhury and Jacob Robinson, who are now serving as PIC’s co-Directors of Programming.
And if you’ve made your own changes, be sure to give your business the visibility it deserves by adding or updating your profile on our online PIC member list.
