As you know, organizations across the country have committed to taking strategic action to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and the communications industry is no exception. To that end, IABC chapters across Canada, together with the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) and the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms (CCPRF) have sponsored a first-of-its-kind industry-wide survey on diversity and inclusion for members and non-members.
The survey – targeted at public relations and communications professionals of all backgrounds – is being administered by our research partner, Leger Marketing, and was developed in conjunction with Breakfast Culture, a marketing and communications consultancy specializing in diversity and inclusion.
This ground-breaking survey represents the first time that the Canadian PR and communications industry will have benchmark data on PR professionals’ perceptions and experiences of diversity and inclusion across the corporate, government, and agency sectors. This data will allow associations and workplaces to take action against racism and advance diversity and inclusion in the profession. Your participation in this first-of-its-kind survey is extremely valuable. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete, and responses are due by Friday, January 15, 2021.
Thank you for doing your part to advance diversity and inclusion in the communications industry.
Sincerely,
Russell Baker
President
