Public Relations Intern, Strategic Objectives
A dedicated leader and communicator, Mubashira Farooqi joined IABC at the beginning of her communications career to give herself access to the unparalleled mentorship and opportunities that it provides.
She enjoys finding unique and dynamic ways to respond to challenges, especially as a developing thought leader in the field of communications in the COVID-19 era. Finding ways to connect people and ideas in this new reality is a goal which she is moving towards and urging others to do so as well.
She has led numerous initiatives based on diversity, equity, inclusion, health and wellness during her undergraduate and postgraduate education.
As a student of Centennial College, Mubashira led a team of peers in an awareness campaign called #facetofacefeb on behalf of The GenWell Project. The purpose of the campaign was to bring attention to the harms of social isolation and help people realize new ways to connect in this digital era. The campaign was massively successful and allowed Mubashira to use her unique experiences and knowledge to highlight the importance of social connection to a diverse audience. This also led to her recognition as IABC/Toronto’s 2020 Student of the Year.
Mubashira is currently an intern with Strategic Objectives, a top PR agency in Toronto.
