Maliha Aqueel, PMP, SCMP, MC, is Canada’s 61st Master Communicator. She is the Director of Global Communications & Digital Channels at Fix Network World, where she leads multi-channel, integrated communication programs. Previously, she was Assistant Director, Brand, Marketing & Communications at EY before heading communications for the Institute of Corporate Directors. She serves on IABC’s international board of directors and is a past IABC/Toronto President. She has won several IABC Gold Quill awards for brand development, content marketing, publications and internal communications, including two IABC Gold Quill “Best of the Best” awards for employee engagement and COVID-19 response management and communications.
Nathalie Noel has worked in communications and marketing for 20 years. She is The Law Foundation of Ontario’s communications specialist and she does freelance consulting in the areas of brand development and communications strategy. She approaches her work from a strategic and holistic branding perspective, and has applied this to brand development, internal and external communications, marketing, PR, employee training, and volunteer development. She is a longtime IABC member, an OVATION award winner and a judge of IABC/London and IABC/Toronto’s awards programs.
Michael Blackburn Michael is a dynamic, passionate and IABC Gold Quill, IABC Canada Silver Leaf, IABC Heritage Region Silver Quill and IABC/Toronto OVATION award-winning communications professional and LGBTQ2+ advocate. He is the recipient of IABC International’s 2021 Rising Leader of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the profession and delivering the Global Standard of Communications. Michael serves as IABC/Toronto’s Executive Vice President for the 2021-2022 term and on IABC’s World Conference Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for the 2022 World Conference in New York City.
