In addition to the panel discussion, the event will also feature an in-person fireside chat with Kenny Yum, Chief of Staff and Strategy at CBC News. AI is now part of everyday newsroom workflows. As its use accelerates, defining clear boundaries matters more than ever.

The fireside chat will explore:

• Where CBC draws the line on generative AI

• How communicators can use AI in media relations

• What communicators and media professionals can learn from a newsroom-first approach to AI
