Jennifer Arnott is a results-oriented strategic communications leader with two decades of experience spanning internal, external and digital/social media. Particularly skilled at building and protecting corporate reputation, she has won both a Gold Quill Award of Excellence and an Ovation Award for proactive communications strategies she developed, and she has deep experience in managing reputational issues. Her work history includes roles at Canada Post, Revera Inc., and several not-for-profit organizations.
An IABC/Toronto member since 2007, Jennifer lists the relationships she has built with other communicators as the most significant benefit of her IABC membership. “A strong network is an important career asset. I believe the best way to get to know other members, and learn what a fun and friendly bunch they are, is to volunteer alongside them.” Jennifer currently volunteers as a judge for the Ovation and Gold Quill Awards. She has served as a mentor and as an event volunteer in the past.
Jennifer holds the designation of Accredited Business Communicator through IABC, and has both a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and Communication Studies and a M.A. Communication Studies from the University of Windsor. An avid gardener, she also earned a Certificate in Horticultural Science from Humber College. In 2016 she combined her love of gardening with her communications expertise to develop TheFabulousGarden.com as an online resource for people who want a garden they can be proud of. She continues to blog there regularly.
