Vice President, Communications, Marketing & Digital Media

Prachi Shailendra (She/Her)

toronto-communications@iabc.to

Prachi Shailendra is a dynamic communications leader who knows how to turn ideas into stories and strategies into real impact. She’s all about blending creative spark with strategic muscle to build campaigns that grab attention and elevate brands. Whether growing digital footprints, shaping narratives, striking partnerships, raising funds, creating buzzworthy content or steering through crises, Prachi makes communications feel powerful and unforgettable.

With over a decade of global experience in corporate communications, brand stewardship, stakeholder engagement and multi-channel campaigns, she has dedicated her career to advancing non-profit and community-based missions. Currently, as the Manager of Communication and Events at COSTI, Prachi leads brand, communications and events strategy, amplifying the organization’s voice while championing innovation, accessibility and inclusivity.

Prachi kicked off her career as a journalist and a photographer covering political, human-interest and entertainment beats. Soon, her passion for humanitarian causes soon pulled her into the non-profit world, where she has led award-winning campaigns across North America, Europe and Asia. She has also garnered regular bylines across blogs and digital platforms as a powerful immigrant communicator, inspiring others by staying true to her career path, advocating for mental health and promoting growth-focused workplace culture.

Committed to ongoing learning and leadership, Prachi continuously invests in her own development, while mentoring emerging communicators through her various volunteer commitments, building a safe, inclusive and thriving professional community.

Since joining IABC/Toronto in 2023, Prachi has served as the Director of Communications, Marketing and Digital Media (2023-24) and a 2025 Ovation Awards judge. Now stepping up as the Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Digital Media (2025-26), Prachi is set to propel the chapter’s next vibrant chapter!
