Andrea Walasek, SCMP (She/Her)
A dedicated communications professional specializing in public relations, Andrea brings more than 20 years of experience leading strategic communications initiatives across government, education, and agency environments.
Known for developing impactful PR strategies and delivering clear, consistent messaging, Andrea has worked in federal and regional government, the education sector, and public relations consulting. She currently serves as a Public Relations Consultant at the County of Simcoe.
Previously, Andrea served as Vice President, Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for IABC/Toronto. She was also the Manager of Communications & Relationship Management for the Upper Canada District School Board, where she led a dedicated team of four communications professionals. Earlier in her career, she spent nine years as Communications Assistant to a Canadian federal Cabinet Minister.
Andrea is passionate about community involvement and believes strongly in the power of volunteering to create greater opportunities for future generations.
