Chantelle Cabral (she/her) is a strategic communications professional who has made a significant impact in the field of communications over the past eighteen years. With an extensive background in brand management, marketing, and public relations, she has orchestrated successful campaigns and global events that engage with audiences worldwide. In her current role as Director Communications at Canada Life, Chantelle plays a pivotal role in driving communication strategies, fostering employee engagement and developing innovative communication solutions creating impactful experiences. As a Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) Chantelle brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to the communications field. She is dedicated to elevating professional standards, fostering community within the industry, and mentoring emerging talent. Her role on the IABC/Toronto board reflects her commitment to advancing best practices in communications, supporting diversity, and championing inclusive dialogue across the profession.

Sheri Morgan (she/her) is the Senior Director of Communications and Engagement for the PepsiCo Foundation – the company’s philanthropic arm. Sheri leads global internal and external communications and employee engagement around the PepsiCo Foundation’s three core pillars of creating equitable access to nutritious food, safe water, and economic opportunity. Most recently, Sheri was the Head of Communications at PepsiCo Foods Canada where she led corporate and brand PR, internal communications, the national translations team and the company’s philanthropic strategy. Sheri has been with PepsiCo for seventeen years. Sheri has 20+ years of progressive communications experience. She spent seven years working for PR agencies and in 2007, Sheri went client side with PepsiCo Foods Canada. Sheri is an IABC Accredited Business Communicator. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph and holds an executive certificate in Strategy from the Smith School of Business.
Emrul Hasan (he/him) is a transformational leader with extensive expertise in executive leadership, stakeholder engagement, change management, reputational risk management, impact investment and measurement, sustainability and strategic communication, and the development and execution of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and social impact strategies and initiatives. As a certified sustainability professional, Emrul possesses in-depth knowledge of major ESG trends, reporting standards, and frameworks and has accumulated decades of experience across various sectors in the full spectrum of ESG scenarios and social impact programs and policies across 27 countries. Currently, he serves as a Principal Consultant at PlanCatalyst, a subsidiary of Plan International Canada that provides specialized consultancy services in international development and corporate sustainability. Previously, Emrul has held notable positions such as Vice President of Citizenship and Sustainability at H+K Strategies, Vice President of Program Effectiveness and Quality at Plan International Canada, and Chief Programs Officer at CARE Canada.
Cathy Cowan (she/her) began her career rising through the ranks at nonprofits and international PR agencies in Toronto, honing her strategy, management and gold standard communications skills with organizations including Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada, The Reuse Centre, Weber Shandwick, GCI Group and GPC/Fleishman Hillard. For nearly 20 years she was President and Founder of Cowan & Company Communications, a full-service marketing communications agency for first class brands. She was especially passionate about social impact and corporate social responsibility programs that she developed with clients including L’Oreal Paris, Kraft, Jamieson Vitamins, Cara/Prime Restaurants and Food Banks Canada. Cowan & Company was recognized as International Association of Business Communicators (IABC Toronto) “Boutique PR Agency of the Year” four times from 2007 – 2017 in recognition of continual innovation and unparalleled communications results.
